Patent Place Application Enhancements

Option to delay paying excess claims
- Users are now provided with the option as to whether or not they want to pay excess claim fees if due payable (due implies deadline). When a user enters value of 16 or more into the total claims field, an additional panel is displayed when the option is given to pay the excess claims on filing or not.
Requesting copies of cited documented in International Search Authority (ISA) report
- Users have the option, if the applications ISA is not the EPO, to specify the number of copies of the document cited in the Search Report they want to receive.
Uploading amended claims
- If the users is required to uploaded amended claims on filing, the questionnaire now provides an upload feature so users can provide them. Users must provide documents in PDF format
Improved EPCT questionnaire design
- To help organise the questions and improve the flow of the questionnaire for the user, a new accordion design has been implemented. The questions are broken into sections consisting of:
  - Applicant Requirements
  - Claims
  - Extension/Validation states
  - Page Details
  - Additional Copies (Conditional)
  - Request Renewal (Conditional)

Providing fields from the Rule 71(3)
- To help simplify the Grant questionnaire for users, Patent Place have replaced their own questions with questions based on the Rule 71(3) itself. This is to help prevent any confusion when entering details from the Rule 71(3). Users can complete the Grant questionnaire even quicker than before.
Tooltips to assist
- In addition to the new Rule 71(3) fields, Patent Place have provided tooltips alongside examples of where to find the required information.
Improved Grant questionnaire design
- Accompanying the new streamlined questionnaire is a new accordion design that categorises the questions into logical groups. The section titles consist of:

  - Translations
  - Claims
  - Pages
